Producing Laura Michelle,

w/
Matthew Wade, LA - Nov 13, 2017 - Facebook Live from Jim's studio. A couple of songs
Jim and Matt wrote togehter ("Girl You Think You Know" and "Willing To
Try"), a short tour of Jim's studio (quite
cool actually), a wardrobe change and a LOT of squinting at the
computer screen. Worth your while.
Rehearsal w/ Laura Michelle, San
Francisco - Apr 2017: Before the performance at the
Blondie's Bar
Jim's
Audition for a Legendary Band - June
2016. Jim played himself in an episode of Astrid Clover - a YouTube web
series.
This is only the Jim part. The whole episode is here.Oscar material it ain't but it's pretty funny.
Especially
Jim, poking fun at himself.
Rehearsing

Through
To You - Jim McGorman - Here
is Jim's wonderful ballad "Through To You", illustrated with some
footage of Jim performing.
Girls
- Jim
McGorman - Just a little
fun
video we made to illustrate Jim's awesome song "Girls". Please do not
look
much into it, the pix of the girl singers Jim has worked with are
displayed at random, so you don't stare at a black YouTube screen.
Steve Fekete's Birtday Jam - March 06 2015
- Jim was on fire
during Steve's birthday party! Totally McGormanised it! (as Steve
himself put it).
Steve Fekete's Birtday Jam - March 06 2015
- From Jim's Facebook: "Cool black n white video
of
us playing some Doobie Brothers, courtesy of Tom Korbee - from a sweet birthday hang/jam last
night for Steve Fekete's birthday! Thanks to Jenn Jennifer Jo
Oberle for hosting such a great
night and letting
me sit in with the smokin' band!" The song is "Takin' It To The
Streets"
Sessions at Willow Grove - Oct/Nov 2014 - It's
aways interesting for us to listen to Jim. We are not saying that
wisdom drips every time he opens his mouth, but more othen than not,
his comments are sharp and observant. Here are his musings on song
writing/recording.
Sessions at Willow Grove - Oct/Nov 2014 - Jim
solo: a ballad called Skeletons with a little story
behind it. We love you Jim.
Sessions at Willow Grove w/ Kate Voegele -
Oct/Nov 2014 - "Leave Me Hollywood" A beautiful, gorgeous ballad
written
and performed by Jim and Kate. Awesome. AWESOME.
Sessions at Willow Grove w/ Kate Voegele -
Oct/Nov 2014 - "Run Out Of Love",
another beautiful ballad written and performed by Jim and Kate.
Sessions
at Willow Grove w/ Kate Voegele -
Oct/Nov 2014 - Another collaboration of Jim and Kate - the
first song they wrote togehter. It's called "It's Only Life" and again,
it's gorgeous. Some great singing by
Kate and (goes without saying) Jim is great on piano and backing vocal.
We don't know if Jim is
a classically trained pianist. But we know he loves to listen to
Mozart.
Jim
working in studio - April 2014. A
short clip of Jim tracking a song for Katarina Gleicher.
Jim
working in studio - April 2014. Another
precious video of Jim in studio, this time tracking banjo guitar for
"Kissed by A Cowboy" (Katarina Gleicher). You can hear his backing
vocal as well
which is awesome.
Jim
working in his studio - July 2013. Two
short videos, joined togehter, courtesy of Dan Godlin.
Working w/ Laura Michelle - 2013. Jim talks about how it's working with Laura,
but also about the whole producing process. Quite interesting! Thanks
to Laura for
the video.
Ryan Fitzgerald "Bigger Plans" EP Release Trailer - A cool little video showing Jim and his
partners from Purple Tongue
working with Ryan Fitzgerald in Jim's old studio. Make sure you watch
it to the
end.

Another clip
of Jim
on drums in the studio, LA - Nov 2012. With
Brad Fernquist
Jim/Weezer/Hanson - We thought it would be
fun to
make this video to illustrate our recent article. Let
us know
if you can't work out the connection!
There"s No
Over You - Sep 2012 - The official video for Jim's first single for The Purple
Tongue Records.

Band performs "Hit Me Baby..." (yep, Britney Spears cover!) with Jim on
lead

Jim singing B.o.B/Bruno
Mars megahit - Nothin' On You: Filmed by Kurt Zendzian in Jim's
own living room. Jim is playing his vintage 1927 Mason and Hamlin baby grand piano. Awesome stuff.
Chongo, the sweet dog from The
Rescue Train: Jim is a great dog lover (has 2
dogs
of his own: Sammy and Nahla) - and is trying to find a permanent
home
for this poor little guy. This is the sweet video he posted on his
Facebook,
together with a new song!
It's called "Unbelievable". Jim co-wrote it with Emerson Swinford and
Greg
Lato; produced it and, of course sings it.
Jim
producing for Kropp Circle - Dec 2010. Another,
very short video of Jim producing for Kropp Circle. And yes, that's
Jim's Best Damn Band mate Rodney Howard looking on. The background song
is "Waiting
For This", Hanson.
Rapides Parish Coliseum,
Alexandria, LA - Nov 27, '10: The clip is
only a minute long, but very cool. Shows Jim during soundcheck
"torturing" everyone; but what is even more cool: he is playing bass!
The Steve's are there too!
Jim
rehearsing w/ Kropp Circle - Nov 2010: A
very
short video of Jim "slaving away" in the rehearsal studio with the
Kropp
brothers. The background music is "Pick A Part That's New" -
Stereophonics.
Jim producing for Kropp
Circle - Nov 2010: The Kropp brothers
posted another video journal, so here is the short scene with Jim. Oh,
the background music is not Kropp Circle of course, it's one of our
favourite bands, Hanson
and... MMMBop. The Kropp Circle
list Hanson as one of their influences, so we are really curious how it
all
went in Jim's studio.
Jim
producing for and playing basketball with Kropp Circle - Nov 2010: Owing to
the Kropp brothers and their video journal, we were able
to put together this video of Jim working in his studio
as well as outside, playing basketball. Not so great as here though...
Jim in his recording studio in LA with Bek
Phillips, September '09: A rare glimpse of Jim at work in
his
own studio with Beck Phillips - a young singer/songwriter from
Connecticut.
It's absolutely fascinating. Thanks for the video Bek! Check out Bek's Myspace
and read more about her on ZW Records.
Jim in his recording
studio
in LA with Bek Phillips, September '09:
Another
short video clip of Jim at work in his studio.
Jim in his recording studio in LA with
Shelley James, September '09: Another video clip of
Jim at work in his studio. This time with Shelley James,
who is, interestingly enough, singing Jim's song "Maybe". Watch for a
cool Paul Mirkovich mention around 2:45. And... enjoy!
Jim working with Adam Rader
- 2009: Adam Rader speaks
about making of his album "What Dreams Become" and his collaboration
with Jimmy who was the producer. You can see Jimmy working in his
studio.
"Believe", w/ Cher, Collosseum Las Vegas -
Feb 25, 2009: A short video of parts where you can sorta see Jim
(that's him on the keyboard, trust us!) He seems to
be totally grooving into the whole thing. Thanks www.cherstyle.com.
Jesse's
Girl, Universal City
Walk performance - Aug 2006: Jim singing one of his (and
our) favourite songs. (on YouTube)
Boys of
Summer, Universal City Walk
performance - Aug 2006: Jim performs Don Henley's mega-hit
from
1984. Awesome performance. With some "help"
from
Paul Mirkovich.
