With Shakira - 2010
Ellen
DeGeneres Show w/ Shakira - April 28, 2010 - "Gipsy". Jim on keyboard in the
background. Pretty blurred so... strictly for the record. It's national
TV after all.
Rock In
Rio - Lisbon w/ Shakira - May 21, 2010 - "Inevitable/Si Te Vas" - very short,
but gives you an idea how it's with Shakira on stage.
Rock In
Rio - Lisbon w/ Shakira - May 21, 2010 - "Gipsy"
or... "Gitana" in Spanish. The scenes where Jim is playing banjo! Rare
sight - you have to agree. Very cool. Also, it's a very good
performance of Shakira. Here is the YouTube link if you
want to check the whole song.
Rock In
Rio - Lisbon w/ Shakira - May 21, 2010 - "Underneath Your Clothes" - just a
couple of short Jim close-ups; but really cool. Nice to see him
on stage again.
Rock In
Rio - Lisbon w/ Shakira - May 21, 2010 - "Whenever, Wherever". You can see
Jim grooving. Well of course... It's one of the top 3 best selling singles of the past
decade.
Rock In
Rio - Lisbon w/ Shakira - May 21, 2010 - "Ciega,
Sordomuda" or "Blind, Deaf and Mute"- the part
where Jim jams with Shakira (which is pretty awesome) and a few other
Jim scenes
and
Rock In
Rio - Lisbon w/ Shakira - May 21, 2010 - The first
clip is parts of "My Hips Don't Lie" and the second clip is parts of
"She Wolf", "Mi Gordita" and another one which name escapes us. Jim is
mainly in the background, but he is wearing a screaming red tee and is
easy to spot. He is obviously having fun.
Rock In
Rio - Madrid w/ Shakira - Jun 5, 2010 - "Sale el Sol" - Very good quality,
Jim scenes only. He plays acoustic guitar. Says Jim:"The crowd was in the neighborhood of 80K
people! It was a great show - we didn't start until 1:30am!"
Enjoy!
Rock In
Rio - Madrid w/ Shakira - Jun 5, 2010 - "Te Dejo Madrid" and "Inevitable" -
Jim only, mostly in the background.
Scrictly for the record. Actually, the end is pretty cool, Jim rocking
out. Plus Shakira really puts on a very
energetic show, so worth watching. We already
said that somewhere here, didn't we?
World Cup
Kick Off Concert w/ Shakira - Johannesburg, South Africa - Jun 10 ,
2010: Shakira's
mega-hit, "Hips Don't Lie". No closeups of Jim, but you can see him in
the background most of the time, playing, singing, shouting ("Si! Si!
Shakira, Shakira") claping, dancing... and having a blast. Enjoy!
World Cup
Kick Off Concert w/ Shakira - Johannesburg, South Africa - Jun 10 ,
2010: "Waka,
Waka", the World Cup
anthem, brought the show to a rousing climax. Watch for a couple of
secs of Jim at 0:12, before he gets hidden; but this is such fabulous
performance of Shakira and the local talent; that it's worth watching
the whole thing. To have Jim part of this is so freaking cool!
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010: "Si Te Vas" ("If You
Go"), in its entirety. A very energetic performance, Shakira
style. Jim (playing his precious Fender Tele
Blonde) is shown throughout the clip and has a
little 'moment' groving with her. The 120,000 crowd shots are amazing.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010: "Whenever,
Wherever" - Shakira's signature song. In the second part, you can
actually hear Jim sing, which is pretty cool, considering that the huge
crowd is singing along too.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010: "Ojos
Asi"
(or in the English version "Eyes Like Yours") - the whole song again.
Quite entertaining performance of Shakira's (where she shows her Arabic
roots more than usual) and Jim fussing with his pedal board and
tuning his guitar mid song and what not. As we said, quite
entertaining.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010:
Whole "Underneath Your Clothes" - we really do not have the heart edit
those clips. This is a beautiful ballad and you can see Jim
throughout
the song. Check out the almost 360 pan starting at 00:30 that
shows
how huge that thing was.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010:
"She Wolf". We think that there is some lip synching going on.
Maybe not. Anyway, not bad. Check out another Jim moment with Shakira
around 2:30.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010:
"Gordita". Edited, Jim parts only. Strictly for the record. We
are not fans of rap and also, remember this?
K&M: Least favourite music genre?
Jim:
Things without melody and chord changes.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010: Entire
"Waka Waka" or "Waka Waka" in any language.
Soccer is not exactly Jim's favourite sport, but we are sure that he
enjoyed himself performing this in front of 80,000 English soccer fans.
It's good that the concert was that day, as England lost to Germany the
next day and
were ousted from the World Cup.
Glastonbury
Festival w/Shakira - Pilton, England - Jun 26 ,
2010: "Hips Don't Lie". Ok, not
exactly Jim relevant but... did you know that this 2006 song (and
Shakira's biggest hit so far) is a cover of Wyclef Jean's
(The Fugees) "Dance like This"
from 2004?
Oh... and:
Friend:
I just have one question....do your hips lie?
Jimmy
McGorman: Never!!!
